BisonTrade review 2026: Spanish multi-asset broker with 160+ forex pairs and 30,000+ instruments
BisonTrade is a Madrid-based multi-asset forex broker founded under its current brand in 2022. Licensed through Miralta Finance Bank by the Bank of Spain and CNMV under code 0244, it trades on the BisonTrade platform with retail, professional, and demo accounts. Serves retail and professional clients across 160+ forex pairs, equities, ETFs, bonds, funds, futures, options, and CFDs.
What is Bisontrade?
Bisontrade is the online brokerage brand operated by Miralta Finance Bank, S.A., a Spanish credit institution based in Madrid. Miraltabank relaunched the broker under the Bisontrade name in 2022, after earlier retail brokerage acquisitions within the group. The client contract sits with Miralta Finance Bank rather than a separate offshore company. The registered office is Plaza Manuel Gómez Moreno 2, Floor 17-A, 28020 Madrid.
The business is a multi-asset broker rather than a forex-only dealer. Its official materials list more than 30,000 instruments, including over 160 forex pairs, cash equities, ETFs (exchange-traded funds), bonds, funds, futures, options, and CFDs. A CFD (Contract for Difference) is a derivative that tracks an underlying market without transferring ownership of that asset. This broad product set makes the legal entity and custody structure especially relevant.
Which regulators license Bisontrade?
Bisontrade operates through Miralta Finance Bank, which appears in the current Bank of Spain records as credit institution 0244. The CNMV (Spanish National Securities Market Commission) also lists Miralta Finance Bank under code 0244 as a credit institution providing investment services. Both public records were available during the September 21, 2026 verification scan. The registration therefore verifies the contracting entity disclosed by the broker.
Investor protection also includes Spain's Deposit Guarantee Fund, or FGD, for eligible assets. The FGD member list includes Miralta Finance Bank under code 0244. Cash deposits can receive coverage up to EUR 100,000 per holder and institution. The FGD separately covers certain failures to return securities up to EUR 100,000, but it does not protect against market losses.
Miraltabank's asset-safeguarding policy states that client positions are separated from the firm's own positions. The policy also names Cecabank, S.A. as a depositary used for financial instruments and global accounts. Miraltabank says client instruments are not used to finance its proprietary activity. These safeguards address custody risk, not trading losses caused by price movements.
What trading platforms does Bisontrade offer?
Bisontrade uses its own branded trading environment, with Saxo Bank identified as the technology partner in the official mobile-app description. The platform supports desktop and mobile access, chart trading, margin alerts, protective orders, and more than 40 technical indicators. Margin is capital reserved to support leveraged positions. The current product set does not include verified MT4 (MetaTrader 4), MT5 (MetaTrader 5), or cTrader access.
The mobile application is available for iOS and Android. Apple's Spanish App Store showed a 2.8/5 rating from 12 ratings during the September 2026 scan. The App Store listing supports 23 languages, while Google Play shows more than 1,000 installs. The small rating sample limits how much can be inferred from the aggregate score alone.
Red flags and warning signs
Bisontrade has a verified regulatory history that includes two final administrative sanctions against Miralta Finance Bank's predecessor entity. The CNMV published the sanctions on June 13, 2024, with fines of EUR 80,000 and EUR 100,000. The findings concerned conflict-of-interest controls and deficiencies in order records (source: CNMV sanctions register, June 13, 2024). The total published amount was EUR 180,000.
The sanctions do not mean the current Bank of Spain or CNMV registrations are inactive. Both registrations remained visible in current regulator records during this review. A second concern is platform choice: MT4, MT5, and cTrader were not verified. A third is the small and weak iOS rating sample, which warrants context rather than a broad conclusion about service quality.
What is the minimum deposit?
The minimum initial deposit is EUR 0 according to the broker's current promotional and platform material. That means the firm does not impose a fixed opening balance before a client can establish the brokerage relationship. Funding still has to cover the value or margin required by the selected instrument.
The verified funding method in the prior broker data is bank transfer. No verified evidence supports adding cards, e-wallets, or crypto funding to the current list. For securities trading, Miraltabank's tariff schedule also lists account opening as free of commission. Product-level dealing, custody, conversion, or market-data charges can still apply after the account is open.
Is the broker on any regulator warning lists?
Regulator warning-list status is different from an enforcement sanction against an authorized firm. The September 21, 2026 scan found no Bisontrade warning entry under the brand name. Searches covered the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), and CNMV. The current CNMV and Bank of Spain records instead show Miralta Finance Bank as a registered Spanish credit institution.
No warning-list result should be read as a guarantee against future enforcement or operational problems. A warning list usually targets unauthorized activity, clones, or misleading solicitation. A licensed firm can still receive fines while remaining authorized. Bisontrade falls into that latter category based on the records checked for this review.
What do user complaints say?
User feedback is too limited for a broad complaint pattern to be established from a large public sample. Apple's Spanish App Store displayed 12 ratings with a 2.8/5 aggregate during the scan. The visible feedback includes usability, loading, and sign-up complaints, while the developer has posted responses directing users to support. The sample size is too small to treat those issues as representative of all clients.
The official Google Play listing does not show a comparable large review base in the retrieved record. Its listing confirms the developer as Miralta Finance Bank and identifies in-app customer-support chat. Because the public sample is thin, regulatory records, tariff documents, and official product disclosures carry more evidential weight than isolated app comments.
How to verify the license for yourself
License verification starts with the legal entity, not the marketing brand. Search the Bank of Spain register for Miralta Finance Bank, S.A. and confirm code 0244. Then search the CNMV register for the same entity and code. The name, address, and investment-services status should match the broker's contractual disclosures.
- Confirm that the entity name is Miralta Finance Bank, S.A.
- Confirm Bank of Spain code 0244 and the Madrid registered office.
- Confirm the CNMV investment-services record under code 0244.
- Check the CNMV sanctions register separately from the authorization record.
- Check the FGD member list for deposit-protection membership.
This sequence separates authorization, enforcement history, and compensation coverage. Those are three different questions and should not be collapsed into a single "regulated" label.
How does customer support work?
Customer support combines physical offices, telephone service, email, and in-app chat. The Madrid office publishes +34 910 888 090 and weekday service from 09:00 to 18:00. Developer responses in the App Store also direct clients to ayuda@bisontrade.com. Google Play lists Miraltabank support contacts and identifies customer-support chat inside the trading app.
The broker also lists a Barcelona office in its promotional material. Physical office access does not change regulatory protection, but it gives Spanish clients an additional contact route. Response quality and resolution speed were not independently measured for this review, so no service-quality rating is assigned from anecdotal evidence.
Where is the broker actually based?
The broker is actually based in Madrid, Spain, through Miralta Finance Bank, S.A. The CNMV record gives Plaza Manuel Gómez Moreno 2, 17A, 28020 Madrid as the registered office. The Bank of Spain monetary-institution list shows the same Madrid address and code 0244. This matches the legal disclosures in Bisontrade's own materials.
The structure is therefore different from an offshore brand that markets from Europe while contracting through a remote entity. The trading brand and the bank share the same Spanish legal entity for the client relationship. Miraltabank also maintains a Barcelona office, but Madrid is the registered headquarters used in regulator records.
Account types and product access
Account access is organized around Retail, Professional, and Demo profiles. Retail and professional classification matters because leverage, market-data fees, and product eligibility can differ. The demo environment lets users test the interface without an initial deposit. The official demo page advertises registration in under one minute.
Retail forex and CFD clients fall under European leverage controls. Miraltabank states that it applies ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority) measures to retail CFD and forex clients. Retail leverage reaches 1:30 for major currency pairs. Its forex material advertises spreads from 0.0 pip. A spread is the gap between bid and ask prices, while a pip is a standard unit of forex price movement.
Costs extend beyond the quoted spread. Miraltabank's tariff schedule lists a 0.35% foreign-exchange conversion charge and separate securities dealing fees. Real-time exchange data can also require paid subscriptions. Without an active subscription, the platform states that some market prices display with a standard 15-minute delay.

Is this broker safe? Honest assessment
Safety assessment requires separating licensing from enforcement history and product risk. Bisontrade contracts through a currently registered Spanish bank, and the CNMV record verifies investment-service status under code 0244. Eligible deposits and certain failures to return securities receive FGD protection up to EUR 100,000 under the scheme's rules. Client-asset safeguards also identify Cecabank as a depositary.
The trade-offs are concrete. The CNMV imposed EUR 180,000 in final administrative fines published in 2024 for two very serious infringements (source: CNMV sanctions register, June 13, 2024). MT4, MT5, and cTrader were not verified, and the iOS rating was 2.8/5 from a small 12-rating sample. These findings belong alongside, not instead of, the active Spanish registrations.
