FXSharp Editorial Principles are a set of binding rules that every broker review, blog post, and comparison content on our site must adhere to. This page transparently explains the boundaries within which we operate when writing our content and why we write it this way. Our editorial principles are the written embodiment of FXSharp's commitment to independence, and no commercial relationship, payment, or external pressure can override these principles.
What is the Philosophy of Our Editorial Principles?
The fundamental principle in writing FXSharp content is this: citing accurate and publicly available information protects both the reader and the writer. The danger lies not in the words themselves, but in unsourced subjective judgments. Concealing a negative public record about a broker harms the reader; writing an unsourced accusation misleads the reader and creates legal risk.
FXSharp's editorial approach maintains an equal distance from these two extremes. We link every claim to a source, and we present every source with its date. This simple rule creates a balance that is quite rare in the industry.
Four Core Editorial Principles
1. Prohibition of Unsourced Subjective Judgments
Unsourced claims of the following nature are not used in FXSharp content:
- "Broker X is a scammer."
- "Broker X is unreliable."
- "Your money will be lost with Broker X."
- "Broker X is the industry leader."
- "Broker X is the most reliable brokerage firm."
- "Broker X's spreads are bad."
- "Broker X's customer service is terrible."
This rule covers both negative and positive superlatives. Imaginary praise is as dangerous as imaginary accusation.
The form we use instead: source + date + fact. Examples:
- "In the FCA's warning dated [date], it was stated that {Firm} is not authorized." (source: FCA Warning List)
- "The CySEC license declared by {Firm} is actively visible in CySEC's public records as of [date]." (source: CySEC Public Register)
- "In BrokerChooser's 2026 evaluation, {Firm} received [score] in the regulation category." (source: BrokerChooser, date)
2. Prohibition of Two-Way Fabrication
At FXSharp, both positive and negative fabrication are prohibited:
Prohibition of negative fabrication: Fictional customer complaints, fake regulator warnings, non-existent investigations — are not included. If there is a negative public record about a broker, we report it with source attribution. Otherwise, we write "no negative findings detected."
Prohibition of positive fabrication: Non-existent licenses, unverified awards, exaggerated customer numbers, fake industry leadership — are not included. Unsourced superlatives such as "Turkey's most reliable broker," "industry leader," "number 1" are not used. Figures such as customer numbers and trading volume are only reported with the prefix "{firm}'s stated data shows" if they are based on the firm's official statements.
Both types of fabrication are equally risky. Fabricated positive claims are subject to lawsuits under advertising regulations; fabricated negative claims lead to defamation lawsuits. The way to protect ourselves is simple: source attribution.
3. Prohibition of Investment Advice
FXSharp is neither an investment advisory firm nor does it offer individual broker recommendations. Our content does not include guiding sentences of the following nature:
- "You should open an account with Broker X."
- "Trade this currency pair."
- "This strategy is profitable."
- "This broker is suitable for you."
All our sentences are in an informative-descriptive form. We convey the features of brokers, explain account models, and highlight regulatory differences; however, the final decision is always made by the reader's own research and risk profile.
4. Impartiality in Comparisons
In our reviews, unsourced named comparisons between brokers are not made:
- PROHIBITED: "{Firm A} is better than {Firm B}."
- PROHIBITED: "{Firm A} is worse than {Firm B}."
We use two forms instead:
- Neutral reference to industry average: "The standard minimum investment amount in the industry is in the 100-250 USD range; {Firm}'s minimum investment is X."
- Source-attributed aggregate comparison: "In BrokerChooser's 2026 evaluation, {Firm A} received 9.4 points in the regulation category, and {Firm B} received 8.7 points." (source: BrokerChooser, date)
Risk Disclaimer and Placement
The standard disclaimer text regarding the general risk of the Forex market is placed as a single paragraph after the conclusion section of each review. Our disclaimer text is as follows:
Forex and derivative products involve high leverage; all or part of the invested capital may be lost. This content is not investment advice, it is for informational purposes. Before making an investment decision, please confirm the firm's current regulatory status on the official website of the relevant authority.
Our disclaimer text is not distributed throughout the body of the content; this both weakens entity density and trivializes the reader's genuine risk warning. Our risk warning is always a single paragraph, after the conclusion, and in a visible position.
Our Correction Policy
There is always a possibility of error in FXSharp content. What is important is how we act when we detect an error:
- Source error: If an incorrect source has been cited, the correct source is added, and a correction note is written.
- Data error: If there is a numerical or quantitative error, the correct data is added, and the old data is left struck through (if necessary).
- Fact error: If there is a serious factual error, the relevant paragraph is corrected, and a note "Correction: This paragraph was updated on [date]" is added below the content.
- Missing information: If a significant finding emerges after publication, the content is expanded, and the last review date is updated.
For correction notifications, you can reach us via our contact page. Correction requests are evaluated within 48 hours.
